Experimental Studies on Euproctis Similis Dermatitis

Abstract: The results of skin test on guinea pigs indicated that the poison in hair of Euproctis Similis was the only offender causing Euproctis Similis dermatitis.The toxicity of the hair was markedly increased with the age.Acute inflammation in various degrees was elicited by the hair after a single applicatiod within half an hour in most of the cases.Most of the eruptions consisted of urticarial maculo-papules or wheals.
