Abstract: Epidermal Laugerhans cells(LC) from normal human skin can specifically bind IgE.1gE-binding to LC could be entirely abrogated by pre-incubation of the akin tissue with the anti-FczRI mAb 15-1.However,the binding could neither be prevented by the anti-FcsRII mAh MHM6,anti-FcγRII mAb Ⅳ,3 nor lactase. These observations indicate that IgE.-binding to LC is mediated by FcεRI rather than by FcεRII,FcγRII or IgE-binding protein(εBP).Immunolabeling study showed that LC exhibited distinct surface labeling with anti-FcεRI mAb.The present study for the fist time demonstrates that epidermal LCs bear FcεRI.
