Abstract: Urine albumin (Alb) and IgG content were detected in 46 patients with psoriasis vulgaris by ELISA method. The relationship between urine Alb and IgG content and duration of disease, different stages of disease, PASI and levels of serum albumin were also analyzed. The results showed that urine Alb and IgG content of patients were significantly higher than those of controls (P<0.01). They were significantly higher in active stage than in steady stage (P<0.05). And they decreased significantly when lesions disappeared (P<0.05) but increased significantly again when lesions relapsed (P<0.05). It is suggested that the detection of urine Alb and IgG can help to find nephropathy of psoriasis earlier and it can be taken as an index for evaluating status of the disease and therapeutic effects. The negative linear correlation between urine Alb content and serum albumin can explain why serum albumin decreases in psoriasis.
