A case of generalized classic Kaposi’s sarcoma with the involvement of oral mucosa

Abstract:

Kaposi's Sarcoma is a rare tumor characterized as endothelium proliferation, can be distributed into classic, endemic, immunosuppression-associated and AIDS-asssociated type. Among them, the classic type is presented as patches, plaques and nodules initiate at the limbs and aggravate gradually with a long course, whereas it's quite uncommon to invlove the oral mucosa at the early stage. Here we report a case of Classic Kaposi's Sarcoma, which generalized rapidly and involved the oral mucosa, and finally was diagnosed as Classic Kaposi's Sarcoma in our hospital and was given treatment of interferon.
