Clinical efficacy of isotretinoin erythromycin gel combined with blue light (415 nm) for the treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris

Abstract:

[ABSTRACT] AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of isotretinoin erythromycin gel united 417nm Blue light Phototherapy in the mild to moderate acne vulgaris. METHODS: 120 patients with acne were randomly divided into three groups,40 patients in each group: One group was treated with 417nm blue light phototherapy, one group was treated with isotretinoin erythromycin gel,another group was treated with the combination of the above. Treatment were recorded using a digital camera for a total of 6 weeks. All subjects were evaluated before treatment, and at 2, 4, 6 weeks after the initiation of treahnent, for evaluation of lesion count, and for observation of Onset time、theta-peutic effects and side effects.RESULTS Isotretinoin erythromycin gel united 417nm Blue light Phototherapy can significantly reduce inflammatory lesions of acne, faster onset time, and inflammatory lesions after treatment still continue to decrease.CONCLUSION Application of isotretinoin erythromycin gel united 417nm blue light treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory acne is a good way.
