Compound flumetasone ointment in the treatment of eczema and dermatitis: a multicenter, randomized and self-controlled clinical study

Abstract:

Objective To observe the effect of compound flumetasone ointment therapy for eczema and dermatitis by shorten the time of external use. Methods A multicenter, randomized, self-control methods were used to compare the effects of patients treated by compound flumetasone ointment, The 392 selected patients were divided into regular treatment group, treatment for 1 hour group and treatment for 2 hours group. All the patients received 2 weeks treatment and the effects were evaluated. Results The patients of three groups received 2 weeks of treatment with total score of symptoms and signs significantly decreased. Comparisons among the three groups, score decrease and clinical efficacy had no significant difference. Conclusions Topical compound flumetasone ointment in the treatment of eczema dermatitis can be shortened the time for 1 to 2 hours of external use, discomfort of greasiness may be reduced or eliminated without effect reduction.
