Fexofenadine hydrochloride in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria: 126 case report

Abstract:

Objective: To study the efficacy and safety of fexofenadine hydrochloride pills versus cetirizine pills in patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria. Methods:A double-blind,random comparative study of the efficacy and safety of fexofenadine hydrochloride pills versus cetirizine pills in patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria. Results: 126 cases were accomplished,63 cases in test group and 63 cases in control group. The effective rate of test group was 88.89%, that of control group was 80.95%.The two groups were not significantly different, P >0.05.The incidence of adverse drug reaction in test group was 4.76%, that of control group was 9.52%.The two groups were not significantly different, P > 0.05.Conclusion: The efficacy and safety of fexofenadine hydrochloride pills in patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria correspond to cetirizine pills
