Abstract:

【Abstract】 Objective To observe the cure and recurrence rate of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) in treating condyloma acuminatum (CA) and the relation between the recurrence rate and HPV classification(high-risk、low-risk). Methods All the enrolled patients after being diagnosed with CA were divided into three treatment groups (electrocagulation group: 87cases, combined theray group: 90cases, ALA-PDT group:103 cases) at random . The electrocagulation group was treated with electrocagulation; the combined theray group was treated with electrocagulation and followed by ALA-PDT weekly for 4 times;the ALA-PDT group was received only ALA-PDT therapy, also weekly for 4 times under the same parameter as the treatment of the combined theray group. At the same time ，the each verruca samples from the patients in the electrocagulation group and combined theray group was detected HPV DNA and then the results of viral types of HPV were classified into high-risk group and low-risk group.Results the cure and recurrent rate was 100%、 66.67% ，100%、8.89% and 68.93%、21.13% for three treatment groups respectively；the difference was statistically significant between the every two groups among three treatment groups (P<0.05). The recurrent rate for high-risk group and low-risk group in the electrocagulation group and combined theray group was 85.71%、58.62%，13.04%、8.33% respectively；the difference was statistically significant in the electrocagulation group(P<0.05)and no statistically significant difference was found between in the combined theray group(P>0.05). Conclusion The cure rate in the electrocagulation group was the same as combined theray group and was much higher than the ALA-PDT group ,moreover the recurrence rate was the lowst in the combined theray group,while the recurrence rate of the electrocagulation group was the highest among three treatment groups.The side-effect from the simple ALA-PDT group was the lowest than other two groups.The recurrence rate for high-risk group was probably decreased significantly after patients was treated with ALA-PDT.
