Swimming pool grannuloma: a case report

Abstract:

A case of swimming pool granuloma was report.A 51-year-old male presented with small papules on the hand for 5 monthes and a sporotrichoid pattern with a succession of nodules ascending the arm for 2 monthes.Histopathological examination revealed the characteristic of infectious granuloma and epitheloid cell tubercles and mixed flammatory reaction with overlying hyperkeratosis and acanthosis. The tuberculin reaction to M.tuberculosis was positive.PCR detection of mycobacterial gene 65kdhsp was positive.Treated with rifampicin and compound sulfamethoxazole,and showed the beneficial effect.
