Abstract: Objective To discuss the trends in the rates of resistance of Ureaplasma urealyticum to antibiotics in Shandong patients. Motheds The Uu culture were done in 3984 out patients and drug sensitivity tests were done when the culture result was positive. Results Uu strongly resisted to quinolones, the resistance rate to ciprofloxacin was nearly 90%. Tetracycline, minocin, deoxycycline, clarithromycin and josamycin had low resistance rate. The resistance rate of roxithromycin and azithromycin rose obviously in recent years. Conclusion Uu resisted to quinolones, can’t be chosen as experiential drug. It’s better to use correct dosage and period based upon the drug sensitive tests. Minocin, deoxycycline, clarithromycin and josamycin could be chosen as experiential when drug sensitive tests are not available.
