Abstract:

【Abstract】Objective To investigate the association of HLA-DQB1 allele and recurrence of condyloma acuminata, so as to provide some evidence for the seeking susceptibility genes or resistant genes of condyloma acuminata. Methods Eighty four patients with recurrent condyloma acuminata were investigated for HLA-DQB1 genes by PCR-SSP technique; it was compared with 107 normal healthy subjects. Results Frequency of DQB1*0501 allele was 8.3% in patient group, which was significantly lower than that in control group (21.5%) (P<0.05), and frequency of DQB1*0201 allele was decreased in patient group (patient 0%, control 9.3%, P<0.01), while frequencies of other investigated DQB1 allele were not significantly different (P>0.05). The result showed that the susceptibility to condyloma acuminata is negatively associated with the alleles of DQB1*0501 and DQB1*0201. ConclusionsThe results suggest that HLA class II polymorphisms may be involved in the recurrence of condyloma acuminata.
