Abstract: With the indirect immunofluorescent technique, circulating antibodies (ANA, AMA, ASMA, APCA, ATGA, ATMA) were tested in 55 patients with vitiligo. More than one antibodies can be demonstrated in 8 patients. The positive rate in patients with vitiligo was 14.5% as compared to 3.6% in normal control group in which 2 of the 55 persons tested were positive. There was significant difference between the 2 groups (P < 0.05),APCA and antithyroid antibody occurred most frequently in detected autoantibodies. In combination with the clinical data this result suggests that the pathogenesis of some patients with vitiligo be associated with autoimmunity.
