Abstract: Ultrastructral changes were reported in the skin lesions of 5 cases with sporotrichosis.Under TEM,widened intercellular space and decreased number of desmosome of keratinocytes.were seen. There were neutrophils,macrophages,lymphocytes and plasma cells infiltrated in the epidermis.The ultrastructnral pictures showed phagosomes and the mycelium of Sporothrix schenekii within the phagocytes in the granular layer of the epidermis of the primary lesion,whereas no such organelles and mycelium in the non-primary lesion.In addilion,there were condensed spores and inflammatory cell infiitration in the dermis.
