ANALYSIS OF 35 CASES OF PITYROSPDRUM FOLLICULITIS

Abstract: An analysis of clinical and pathological studies in 35 cases of Pityrosporum folliculitis is reported. It is a chronic infiamiratory dermatomycosis caused by lipophilic Pityrosporum organisms. The lesions were erythematous follicular papules and pustules, 2 to 4 mm in diameter, which were located mainly on the upper part of the body. 30 cases were identified by histopathology. The changes of the pilosebaceous follicles and the charateristic of the fungus invasion were analysed and discussed.
