Abstract: Some biological characteristics of Ro and La antigens were investigated. Ro and La anti fens were easily detected in human, dote, calf,pig, guinea pig and rabbit tissues but not in rat and moose tissues, suggesting that the quantity of Ro and La antigens varied in different mammalian cells. These antigens, existing not in almcst all tissues of the human body, are not tissue or organ-specific.
