Abstract: Ultrastructural changes of the eecrine glands in 4 cases of leprotic hypopigmented maculae with slightly-impaired sweating function are reported. In the clear cells, eletron microscopy showed:swollen mitochondria with dissolution of partial cristae and clearing of matrix, increase of glycogen granules in cytoplasm, and muddy appearance of smooth endopplasmic reticula. The relationship between these ixltrastructural changes and the slight impairment of sweating function was discussed.
