Abstract: A silver cofloid technique to identify uxcleolar organizer region associated proteins (AgNORs) has been applied to 68 skin diseases. The results showed that in malignant skin diseases AgNORs per nucleus increased significantly than those in benign skin diseases.AgNORs per nucleus in basal cell carcinomas were much more than those in other neoplasms. In squamous cell carcinomas, the number of AgNORs was related to the differentiation of malignant cells, the less the differentiation, the more the number of AgNORs.
