Abstract: The results of DIF examination of different types of LE lesion and unex posed normal skin of SLE were presented. It seemed that LE lesions on the trunk had fewer positive LBT. LBT of DLE lesions had higher positive frequency of IgM deposition, however, SLE and SOLE lesions had higher IgG deposition. Comparing the diagnostic significance of LBT with histopathologic examination for LE lesions, though LBT was highly specific, it was not as sensitive as histopathology. LBT could not replace the role of histopathologic examination for the diagnosis of LE lesion.
