Abstract: In order to determine whether the "Encefusin Tablets" has the therapeutic effect objectively. Authors observed the ultrastructural marks on the surface of the horny cells as the objective criteria. Biopsy specimens were taken from the lesion and normal skin of five patients with psoriasis before and after the treatment with the drug, and observed under SEM. Before treatment there were many micropits and microvilli on the inner surface of the horny cells of typical psoriatic lesion. But after treatment the micropits disappeared and the number of the microvilli on the cell membrane of horny cells decreased significantly after treatment (P<0.001). The above data indicate that "Encefusin Tablets" have good effect on the recovery of glucoprotein on the horny cell membrane and can strengthen the adhesion between horny cells.
