Abstract: The early features of the radiographic findiags of the chest in 35 patients with SLE are aaalysed.It was,ound-that 10 patient were aormal and 25 patients were abnormal.Abnormal findings included slight ealargemeni of the heart in 7(in which flatteniag of the left border of the heart in 3 and abnormal shadows of the lung in 18).The characteristic changes of the lung consisted of increased and thickened lung-markings,which extended to the periphery of the Iung,and granular shadows in the roentgenogram.In combination with the clinical symptoms,the criteria of roentgen diagnosis of the lung in SLE have been suggested.
