Measurement of Serum Osteocalcin Level in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus(SLE): Implications for the Mechanism of Corticosteroid-induced Bone Loss

摘要: 目的 了解皮质类固醇对系统性红斑狼疮(SLE)患者的骨代谢及钙调节激素的影响.方法 放射免疫分析法测定了引例长期服用皮质类固醇的SLE患者血清骨钙素、甲状旁腺激素及降钙素水平.结果 采用皮质类固醇治疗的SLE患者血清骨钙素、降钙素水平明显下降,而血清甲状旁腺激素水平则明显升高,与对照组相比,在统计学上差异均具有显著性(P<0.01),提示皮质类固醇可通过降低成骨细胞的活性而使骨形成受到抑制.结论 血清骨钙素可作为长期服用皮质类固醇的SLE患者进行骨代谢监测时的一项有效的生化指标.

Abstract: Objective To study the effect of long-term administraion of corticosteroids on bone metabolism and calcium-regulating hormones in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods Serum concentrations of osteocalcin (BGP), parathyroid hormone (iPTH) and calcitonin (h-CT) were measured by radioimmunoassay in thirty-one SLE patients.Results Serum BGP and h-CT were reduced; but serum iPTH was increased; the differences were significant between-SLE cases and healthy controls(P<0.01).The results suggesed that corticosteroids inhibited bone formation by suppressing cell proliferation and protein synthesis in osteoblasts.Condusion Serum BGP is an effective biochemical parameter in assessing bone turnover in SLE patients during long-term corticostemids therapy.
