Abstract: 13 cases of systemic progressive sclerosis received from Sept,1971 to March 1981 were analysed.The authors reviewed some literatures and discussed the appearances of systemic sclerosis,involving the heart,and the lung.,on pathology,clinic,radiology,pulmonary function,diagnosis and treatment.Sometimes because the doctor's experience was limited,the diagnoses were often wrong,especially in the early stage,In this group six cases were misdiagnosed.Three were wiongly diagnosed as rheumatoid.arthratis,the others as rheumatic myocarditis,rheumatic heart disease(mitral stenosis)and pulmonary tuberculosis:In order to avoid.these mistakes the authors emphasized' that close collaboration between physicians and dermatologists was very important,especially in the early diagnosis.
